Welcome to Donabate Dexters' January blog

It may be January but that never stops a serious BBQ aficionado! So for January, we've teamed up with Leon over at BBQLife.ie for a little competition, check out our Facebook page for further details.

Whether its a Weber or a Kamado, our love of the BBQ, braai, Asado (or any other kind of cooking over fire), is growing by the day. There are several Instagram accounts and Facebook pages dedicated to this delightful epicurean process in Ireland.

We will be including in our blog, some great BBQ recipes straight from our craft butcher Dave Lang. He has picked three different recipes for varying expertise levels.

So, why use Dexter Beef in a BBQ? Whilst the animal itself is smaller, the meat is denser and far more flavourful than the mainstream breeds. You'll notice the difference as soon as you bite into a juicy brisket or bbq ribs.
